Welcome

Welcome to LineBroker, a new concept in Internet circuit provisioning.

LineBroker works for you to provide guidance and advice on the best technology to meet your business requirement. We then get competitive quotes on your behalf and present the best ones to you. If you like what you see then order though LineBroker and we will take responsibility for the whole provisioning and billing process and provide ongoing support.

LineBroker has access to all of the available technologies in the UK from all of the national players. This includes all Next Generation Networks (NGN), LLU providers with their equipment in BT exchanges and trade-only network aggregators.

Multi Site
MPLS

The optimum way to connect multiple locations is over an MPLS private cloud.

MPLS supersedes older technologies like point-to-point leased lines and IPSec site-to-site VPN’s and brings everything under central control.

Traditional
ADSL

Ubiquitous, low-cost, broadband technology that offers a download speed < 24Mbps with an upload speed < 2.5Mps. But crucially, ADSL degrades over distance so the further your business is from the BT exchange the slower ADSL will run.

ADSL2+ Annex M is the one to go for.

FTTC

Fantastic speeds for little more cost than ADSL. Distance from the exchange no longer matters but distance to the BT street cabinet is crucial

Traditional
FTTP

Also known as ultrafast full-fibre broadband. It's a reliable, fast broadband service with a pure fibre-optic cable straight into a business.

Distance from the exchange or BT street cabinet no longer matters.

CABLE BROADBAND

An alternative to telephone broadband, but only if your business is in a Virgin Media cabled area.

Business service piggy backs on consumer multi-play service and delivers real speeds close to the advertised maximum regardless of location.

Symmetric
EFM

EFM is a great entry level Symmetric service running over multiple copper circuits. It fills the space between asymmetric or SDSL services and fibre Ethernet at an affordable price point with inbuilt resilience.

Three service providers with differing offers means there is plenty of choice.

Symmetric
FIBRE

Fibre Ethernet Leased Lines are the ultimate destination for most businesses.

They offer reliable symmetric bandwidth just about anywhere in the UK at speeds from 10Mb to 10Gb.

Prices are still falling significantly year on year making this more affordable than ever.

Symmetric
SDSL

SDSL services the market for low speed symmetric circuits.

It is a strong contender in the VoIP SIP Trunking and hosted telephony markets where symmetry matters but bandwidth requirements are modest.

There are different technologies on offer at different price points.

SPECIALIST
BONDING

Bonding is the term given to aggregating 2 or more ‘slow’ circuits to give the performance of one ‘fast’ circuit.

It is typically used with ADSL but can be used with SDSL or even 3G.

Consider Bonding if your business is a great distance from the exchange or you want increased upload speeds.

SPECIALIST
MULTI-CIRCUIT

Running multiple circuits from the corporate Firewall not only increases aggregate bandwidth but it also provides traffic separation and resilience.

Critical applications are no longer slowed by less important traffic and additional bandwidth can be added in low cost increments.

Guide Figures

Speed & cost are dependant on the number and type of circuits deployed

SPECIALIST
TRAFFIC SHAPING

An alternative to more bandwidth is making better use of what you already have through traffic shaping.

Either the Firewall or a dedicated product will give priority to what matters by dynamically throttling back the less critical traffic.

Next-Gen
SOGEA

Openreach now delivers a single order fibre broadband that means you do not have to install a traditional copper phone line to compliment the service. SOGEA (Single Order Generic Ethernet Access) includes an underlying version of a phone line.

SOTAP

SOTAP (Single Order Transitional Access Product) is a new product being developed to facilitate the withdrawal of Wholesale Line Rental (WLR) where fibre products are unavailable.

It will deliver a copper path between the Network Terminating Equipment (NTE) at the end customer's premises and a main distribution or jumper frame at the exchange that connects to the SOTAP CP's exchange infrastructure, over which you can provide broadband and Internet Protocol (IP) voice services.

SOGFAST

SOGFAST is essentially a GFAST connection and an analogue line bundled together./p>

It will allow Fibre Broadband customers to reach speeds of up to 330Mbps using the existing FTTC service.

Symmetric
GEA

Generic Ethernet Access aka Ethernet over FTTC.

This sits firmly between regular FTTC and fibre leased lines. It replaces the standard contended FTTC backhaul with an uncontended business grade network offering an SLA similar to leased lines.

There are different variants on offer at different price points.
